Annie

My mother-in-law was so short.
Less than five feet.
Even when her hair was curled.
Even in slippers.

She laughed.
Alot.
Until she cried.

And she had no lap.
She was short and round and jolly.

Hard working, resourceful, gentle.

She could take the most ordinary things and turn them into mouth watering morsels.
She had a knack with food.

Her home was warm and lovely, filled with beauty.
A reflection of her.
